Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I hang my product?
A: Here are a few ways you can hang your art work
- For our products that do not have holes designed specifically for hanging, we recommend using small finishing nails that you can tuck into any corners to secure them to your wall. Use nails with small heads and you’ll never notice them!
- You can also use magnetic screws that you screw into the wall and then stick the artwork onto it.
- You can also use command strips but for the larger sizes please make sure to use small nails to secure it since the larger pieces can get heavy depending on the design
- Note: Depending on the design some artwork may have sharp edges please exercise caution when unwrapping the artwork so as not to hurt yourself.
Q: Will my project come with hardware to hang it?
A: No hardware will be included. We don’t include the hardware. If you have questions about how to hang your particular product send us a message and we will be glad to help.
Q: Will my product be heavy?
A: In most cases, no, even though it is made of metal, most of our products only weigh between 3-10 pounds.
Q: Is my product magnetic?
A: Yes they are, all of our products are made from mild steel (unless otherwise noted).
Q: Will my product ever rust?
A: We are using weatherproof painting to your product, it will not rust, but if the product is kept outdoors there will be normal wear and tear due to long exposure to the elements
Q: How long will my product last?
A: Your metal project will last for generations! The life of the finish on your product will depend on the environment it is in and the way it is handled. We advise for longest-lasting durability for your metal sign to hang in a low weather impacted area and away from any salt/chlorine such as a pool area.
Signs should last quite some time with little to no intervention involving special care. If rust arises quickly there may have been an error in production, and we would be happy to remake a defective item within 30 days of purchase.
Q: How is my project made?
A: All of our products are made right here in the U.S.A. They start as a design on the computer and are then cut out of metal using a CNC-Plasma cutter. After a product is cut out and any sharp edges are removed, a finish is applied, and the product is complete!
Q: Is the artwork delicate?
A: Depending on the design some pieces may have small intricate patterns in which case care should be taken when opening and pulling out the artwork from the package so as not to break it. Also please use caution to not hurt your fingers in cases where the designs may have sharp edges
Q: How are the artwork sizes measured?
A: The sizes are standard 12, 14, 18, 24, 30 and 36 inches , however this can depend on the design of the artwork. For instance, if the artwork is either vertical or horizontal, the size of the largest side would be 12, 14, 18, 24, 30, 36 as per the order.
Processing & Shipping Questions
Q: What companies do you use for your shipping?
A: We only deliver in the U.S.A. We use USPS, UPS, and FedEx for US shipments. The specific carriers are chosen at our discretion.
Q: Do you deliver internationally?
A: At this time, we do not ship outside of the U.S.A
Q: Do you ship to all 50 states in the United States?
A: We only ship to the lower 48 states in the United States. We do not ship to Alaska and Hawaii.
Q: Do you ship to P.O.Box addresses?
A: No, unfortunately not all of our shipping carriers will ship to P.O.Boxes and will be returned to sender if an order is placed to a P.O.Box
Q: Is shipping free to the lower 48 states?
A: Yes, shipping if free within the US.
Q: If ordering multiple items will I receive them all together?
A: Since we create the items only when an order is placed, each item may be shipped separately depending on when it's printed and ready to be shipped.
Q: When can I expect to receive my order once placed?
A: Since each order is custom to a customer, it will typically take anywhere from between 10 to 15 business days (off-peak times) or between 15 to 20 business days (during peak times) to be printed and shipped. Once ready for shipping you will receive the tracking number
Peak times vary from year to year, but we use these times of the year as our peak times. Keep in mind that shipping times also play a factor in the overall delivery times for the order

Q: My package says it's delivered but I have not received it yet?
A: We ask that you please verify with neighbors or family members and also check with your local post office or the delivery service before reaching out to us at info@theforgingmule.com
Q: My item came damaged, or the design was not as depicted on your website
A: If the item was delivered damaged or was the wrong size or the art was not as depicted on the website, we will issue a store credit or send you a replacement free of charge as long as the request was made within 30 days of delivery. Send us an email at info@theforgingmule.com with the issue details, picture of the damaged/wrong item.
Q: I have not received a tracking number or don't see any movement on my tracking number for a while.
A: Please get in touch with us at info@theforgingmule.com with the order number and the tracking number and we will investigate and if the issue is on our end we will send a replacement or issue a store credit for the amount.
Return & Refund Policy
Q: I changed my mind and would like to return the item
A: Since our products are custom made when the order is placed. We do not offer returns or refunds at this time but will be happy to work with you on what the issue is and try to resolve it as soon as possible. If the issue is deemed to be on our end we will either send you a replacement or issue a store credit for the amount.
Please contact us at info@theforgingmule.com, within 72hours of the delivery of the product, with the reason as to why you are unhappy with the product. Once we have got the request we will evaluate and let you know of the next steps.
